This time I came to Guangzhou to check in at the Guangzhou Tower and also visited the exhibition in Pazhou. I decided to stay at Paco Hotel Datang Metro Guangzhou. After staying for three days, my biggest feeling was that choosing the right hotel was like taking the transportation network and local food map of Haizhu District into my pocket, without wasting any precious travel time on commuting.
The hotel is located at No. 4 Huiyuan New Street, Jude West Road, Haizhu District. The most worry free feature is the transportation configuration: come from Guangzhou South Station, take Line 7 and transfer to Line 3 to Datang Station, walk 800 meters from Exit B to reach the hotel entrance, and drag your luggage along the streets and alleys of Old Haizhu. Along the way, you can also see local grandmothers setting up sugar and water stalls. The exhaustion of getting off the high-speed rail is instantly relieved. Coming from Baiyun Airport is also very smooth. Take the northern extension of Line 3 and transfer to Line 3. The whole journey takes more than 40 minutes, so you don't have to rush through the morning and evening rush hours in the city.
Out of the hotel door is a travel network extending in all directions. You can walk 800 meters directly to Datang Metro Station of Line 3, which connects the core points of Guangzhou Tower, the Pearl River New City, Tiyuxi and Panyu Chimelong. If you want to go to any of the popular scenic spots in Guangzhou, you can almost get there by subway. If you don't want to take the subway, there is a bus stop just a few hundred meters away from the hotel entrance, with multiple routes leading directly to Pazhou Convention and Exhibition Center and Haizhu Lake Wetland Park. If you don't want to walk or scan a shared bike, ride along Xinjiao Middle Road to the east and you can reach the shore of Haizhu Lake in just 10 minutes. The wind blows by your ears, and even rushing becomes a pleasure. The hotel comes with a free self parking lot and also reserves new energy charging spaces. Friends who come by car do not have to struggle to find paid parking spaces on the core roads of Haizhu. After parking, they can walk around all the surrounding points, which is worry free and cost-effective.
The surrounding facilities have engraved the word "convenience" into the details: within a 10 minute walk, you can find large fresh food markets, chain supermarkets, and 24-hour convenience stores. If you want to buy souvenirs or replenish travel supplies, just walk downstairs for two steps. Within a few hundred meters of the surrounding area, there are countless local specialties of Haizhu, such as Chaoshan beef hotpot restaurants that have been open for over a decade, authentic Cantonese style sausage brands, and Cantonese style morning tea shops that locals often visit. You don't have to cross districts to find internet famous restaurants, just take a turn and you can taste the authentic Lao Guang flavor.
If you want to go out and play, you can walk for more than 20 minutes from the hotel to the outskirts of Guangzhou Tower. Walking along the gentle slope towards Guangzhou Tower in the evening, you can see the fireworks of the urban village of Lao Haizhu and the slowly lit waist in the distance. The photos taken casually are particularly impressive. Haizhu Lake Wetland Park is a 10 minute drive away, and you can walk along the lake to watch the sunset. The wind blowing in the the Pearl River is particularly comfortable. Even if you need to go to the Pazhou Exhibition Hall temporarily, it takes only 20 minutes by subway to get there directly, without worrying about traffic jams during rush hour.
After staying for three days, I hardly wasted my time on the road: in the morning, I took the subway to the Pearl River New City to clock in, walked back to the hotel to have time-honored tea at noon, took a 10 minute taxi to Haizhu Lake to visit the park in the afternoon, and walked slowly to the Guangzhou Tower in the evening to see the night view. No need to rush or take detours to commute, all the pace of the journey is relaxed and comfortable. This time, when I came to Haizhu District, Guangzhou to coordinate with the Pazhou exhibition project, I decided to stay at Paco Hotel Datang Metro Guangzhou for three days. As a business person who travels back and forth to the Pearl River Delta for exhibitions all year round, the biggest feeling after staying here is that it has achieved the top-notch level among hotels in the same price range, focusing on the "commuting efficiency" and "detail saving" that are most important for business trips.
The hotel is located at No. 4 Huiyuan New Street, Jude West Road, Haizhu District. The whole journey takes less than 30 minutes, and there is no need to drag luggage in the traffic. It's even more convenient to go to the Pazhou Exhibition Hall. Take Line 3 and transfer to Line 8, and you can reach the entrance of the exhibition hall in just 20 minutes by two subway stations. During the morning rush hour, you don't have to worry about traffic jams on the road, and you can safely arrive at the exhibition site early by pressing the button. For business people who run to the exhibition, this commuting efficiency directly saves a lot of time in organizing materials.
When checking in, the front desk was very efficient. Upon learning that I had to attend the morning exhibition the next day, they specially arranged a quiet room in a low area far from the elevator entrance for me. They were afraid that I would be disturbed by the noise in the hallway if I stayed up late to change my plan. They also proactively reminded me of the location of the 24-hour business center, where I could print my exhibition certificate and bind project materials at any time without having to search for printing shops in the surrounding area. Pushing open the door, there were no unnecessary fancy decorations, and the layout of the spacious office desk was particularly reasonable. The network cable interface and multi specification charging port were all placed in easily accessible positions. I stayed up for two nights in a row until the early morning to revise the exhibition PPT. The desktop space was enough to accommodate my laptop, sample album, and a bunch of famous films, without feeling cramped at all. The customized mattress is moderately soft and hard, and I was busy lying down until the early morning. In no time, I took off the fatigue all over my body, completely avoiding the insomnia problem of changing beds during business trips.
The hotel's amenities are all essential for business travel: a 24-hour self-service laundry room with a dryer and ironing machine. I brought two or three sets of exhibition attire, which I would throw into the room after finishing at night. The next morning, it would be dry and even, without having to worry about wrinkles. The free self parking lot is particularly friendly to friends who come to the exhibition by themselves, without having to struggle to find paid parking spaces in the core business district of Haizhu, saving a lot of trouble. The choice of breakfast is particularly suitable for the tastes of business people. There are all kinds of Cantonese pastries, plain Congee dishes and freshly ground coffee. You don't have to get up early to find the breakfast shop, but you can go downstairs to eat enough, and you won't panic at the morning meeting.
What surprised me the most was the convenience of the surrounding area. Within a 10 minute walk, there are chain convenience stores and local time-honored tea restaurants. After the conversation, customers can go downstairs to enjoy hot and simple meals without having to wait for long takeout. Located less than 2 kilometers away from Guangzhou Tower, after discussing the project, we arranged for the client to gather at a restaurant next to Guangzhou Tower. It only takes 10 minutes by taxi to get there, without having to commute across half of Haizhu District.
